Madiera Modern Luxe

An amazing transformation, this project focused primarily on the kitchen & den areas of the home and also included the powder room. The kitchen was very large and the space was not used efficiently. Things were actually too far apart, so the layout was changed to create a new, large island that the owner could circulate all the way around, and it was moved closer to the perimeter cabinetry for better work flow. More space was freed up for the eat-in portion of the kitchen to allow for a larger table and a freestanding bar cabinet. The custom cabinets were stained a weathered grey-brown with classic, calacatta quartz countertops and brushed, gold accents for a luxe look. The den was completely transformed from a wood paneled, dark, cave-like space to a light and airy, polished living space. The existing brick fireplace was refaced with stone and new millwork cabinets to flank each side of the fireplace all in light colors to neutralize and brighten the space. The gorgeous hand-knotted rug and new furniture & accessories made the space pop with their rich accent colors.
