Touch of the South - Trace and Scale

Touch of the South

This southern family wanted to add some color to the trendy, all-white kitchen they moved into and truly make it feel like ‘the heart of their home.’  We added stained shiplap to the backside of the island, along with matching painted and glazed doors, and decorative end panels, to create a focal point in the kitchen. To continue adding warmth and texture, we removed the generic white range hood and added a larger one in stained wood with metal strapping, giving it a vintage look. The project stemmed from the homeowner’s desire to upgrade a builder-grade kitchen that they moved into, with new, better quality cabinet doors and cabinet hardware throughout the home.
